Career Day Collection
Career Day: A Look Back at Loach Studio’s Quirky Pixel Art NFT Project
Back in January 2025, we at Loach Studio LLC launched a passion project that blended nostalgia, creativity, and a dash of chaos.
What Was Career Day?
Career Day was our tribute to the strange and wonderful paths people carve out in the real world—celebrated through handcrafted 64×64 pixel-art NFTs.
The collection featured:
- 164 unique pixel portraits
- A playful mix of hand-crafted details and randomized generation
- Characters ranging from the absurd to the unexpectedly charming
Some fan-favorite oddballs included:
- The Caffeinated Plumber
- The Topless Dentist
- …and many others that surprised even us when the generator spat them out.
At its heart, the project blended retro pixel-art charm with the humor and personality of unconventional careers.
Holder Licensing: Creative Freedom First
Each NFT from Career Day: Originals granted holders broad rights, including both personal and professional use.
You could use your NFT as:
- A business mascot
- A YouTube/Twitch avatar
- A logo or brand element
- A social media persona
- A character in a creative project
- …or simply a fun piece of digital art to display
While the full terms live on our website, the spirit was always clear: use it however you like.
Why We're Sharing This Now
Even though the collection was originally listed on OpenSea and quietly closed before reaching its initial minting goal, Career Day remains an important part of Loach Studio history.
It represents:
- Creative experimentation
- Team collaboration
- The joy of creating something purely for fun
And perhaps most importantly…
We may reopen those doors.
Whether that means expanding the collection, relaunching a mint, or reinventing the concept entirely—the project isn’t forgotten.
